
"Minimum" is an outrageous comedy about the newly elected Ontario Premier who must live on minimum wage. Complicated by his ex-wife’s rage at learning what her alimony payments will be, the Premier, with the aid of his aide, must adjust from a six-figure government salary to $36,608 – his previous annual budget for suits and ties. No longer able to afford Toronto, the Premier commutes from Hamilton on the lowest form of human innovation - public transit.

Brandon James Sim is an actor, writer, producer and one of the founders of The Intergalactic Federation of Space Beers. He has a simple approach to his projects, assemble the best talent, be kind, be fun and make memories. Brandon has won several awards for his writing and his acting; he has won Best Actor twice at the Toronto 48 and once at the Hamilton Film Festival. He is proud to be back in Minimum at Factory Theatre Mainstage!

Christa-Marie Waugh is a Canadian actor enjoying the smallness and specificity of film but is always relieved to get back to her theatre roots. A graduate of York University’s Acting Conservatory, she is finally understanding all the bizarre things she learned and continues to feed her never ending hunger for knowledge and skill. Christa-Marie is also a proficient classical pianist, a far less proficient strings and sax player, and quite the singer. She plans to get bigger, louder, and weirder.

Victoria Sullivan is an actress, scriptwriter, producer and one of the founders of The Intergalactic Federation of Space Beers. She has an MFA in Scriptwriting and Story Design from TMU and has won awards for her acting and writing. Victoria loves dark comedies, believes the world needs more laughter and is so proud to bring this play to life again for Toronto audiences at the 2026 Toronto Fringe Festival.

TJ Cheslea is an award-winning Toronto-based director and filmmaker whose work spans theatre and film. His directing approach combines truthful performances with expressive staging, movement, and visual storytelling to reveal the emotional lives of his characters. TJ directed It's Always Hazy in Hamilton at the 2024 Hamilton Fringe Festival, earning a Broadway World Toronto Theatre Award nomination for Best Director while the production also received multiple nominations.

Peter is thrilled to be stage managing MINIMUM at Toronto Fringe, where he finally gets to work with the talented writing and production team of Be Victorious Productions and The Intergalactic Federation of Space Beers.

Victoria has a BAH in Theatre Studies from the University of Guelph and an MFA in Scriptwriting and Story Design from Toronto Metropolitan University. Victoria's first play, Danielle Tea's Infernal Latte premiered at the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2023. Her second play, It's Always Hazy in Hamilton, co-written with Brandon James Sim, premiered at the Hamilton Fringe Festival in 2024. Victoria's third play, co-written with Katie Lawrence, Fire and Frost, premiered at the Chrysalis Theatre in May 2025 and her political satire Minimum, premiered at the Hamilton Fringe Festival in July 2025.

Brandon has a BFA in Drama from the University of Guelph and has written many films with his business partner Victoria Sullivan under their company, The Intergalactic Federation of Space Beers. His play It's Always Hazy in Hamilton premieres at the 2024 Hamilton Fringe Festival.
